“Today Is The Day”

A poem by Tamisha Hill

Today is thee day
They’ve overturned Roe V Wade
Oh this is just the beginning
The lower class will be enslaved
The middle class will be robots
The world leaders will be the rich
and Obama will be scapegoated for all of this sh**!
No government!
See there’s always been a plan
To make America great …ugh, GAIN.
3 million free laborers
So carnal and full of hate
We’re of compassionate people
we’re not all the same!
Which is why
the powers that be haven’t stood up to make a change !
Imagine the daydreams about owning chattel slaves 🤔
About living out your innermost desires without guilt or shame💭
About finally being who you truly are
as
it’s in your DNA🤷🏽‍♀️👀
IM DISGUSTED TODAY!😡
THERES GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY! 📝✍🏽
To save ourselves from a world of dismay 🔥🌏🔥
I respect that this is 1 of many dimensions
That my melanin is inherently connected to my transcendence.
That what seems like a lifetime Is but only a mention
In this realm of purgatory some place between heaven and “hell”…
where my righteousness is tempted and my deeds are being weighed..
I’m walking through hell’s fire light as a feather and unscathed.💪🏾I’m winning, 🏆my game plan is just doing the right (write) thing.
I’ve got a story to tell.
Of
A pandemic, mass shootings, police violence and mass incarcerations,
the sexual exploitation of our children in this dying nation.
That the keys to salvation
are hidden
written
in the hieroglyphics
I only believe what I can feel innately
I can’t make sense of this nonsense!
I can not bear false witness
The American Dream is the American System set up for you to lose
all sense of who you truly are
The internet is full of drones you can hardly tell them a part
A woman such as myself
against this system is overdue,
So I drop these, stanzas, run on bars… these seeds…
these PoeticJewels #paintopurposepushingthepenpoetically I can only tell you how it is, not the way that it should be.
