“To My Life Saviour”

A poem by Oladipupo, Oluwamuyiwa Gabriel

To that dazzling queen,
who in her prowess
saved my sinking ship,
who in her power
saved me from the trench.

To the mom-goddess,
who in her wisdom
warn me to be strong,
Who in her mercy
forgive my dumb wrongs.

To my rose petals,
Who in her beauty
shaded my bad face,
who with her soft hands
gave me life’s purpose.

To my life saviour,
who saved me from shame
of life among peers,
who said, boy, it is
time for you to shine.

To my mum’s mother;
lustrous birthday of
joy and healthy life.
more to do in life
with ‘best things in life.
