Poet of the Month
Lenell Allen
“I’m Lenell, I’m 21 years old and I was born and raised in South Jersey. Poetry to me, is therapy. Not just for me, but for others I hope to help. I’m an advocate for mental health, and I’ve helped a few kids.
I started writing at 13 years old. My hope for the future with my passion is to one day publish one or more of my books, and hopefully help others dealing with similar struggles with mental health.
Something else I love is photography. I love taking pictures.”
Lenell is a TOP CONTRIBUTOR in our Facebook group and is considered a founding member of Eleven O Eight due to how much she has shared and contributed to the group.
She has participated in multiple Eleven O Eight events and even came in first place back in June of 2022 for our “Love, Peace, and Equality” online poetry slam!
